Rund 21 Millionen Rentner können sich über ein dickes Plus freuen! Zum 1. Juli 2025 steigen die Renten in Deutschland um 3,74 Prozent. Das kündigte Noch-Arbeitsminister Hubertus Heil (SPD) in der „Süddeutschen Zeitung“ an. „Voriges Jahr ist der Arbeitsmarkt trotz aller Krisen stabil geblieben, und es hat ordentliche Lohnabschlüsse gegeben“, begründete Heil die Rentenerhöhung. ► Die Erhöhung der Rente folgt grundsätzlich der Entwicklung der Bruttolöhne in Deutschland. Ebenfalls berücksichtigt werden Veränderungen des Beitragssatzes in der Rentenversicherung sowie die Entwicklung des Zahlenverhältnisses von Beitragszahlern und Rentnern. Wegen der deutlich gestiegenen Löhne hatte es in den vergangenen Jahren ungewöhnlich kräftige Rentenerhöhungen gegeben – höher als die nun angekündigte. 2024 waren die Renten bundesweit um 4,57 Prozent gestiegen, 2023 um 4,39 Prozent im Westen und 5,86 Prozent im Osten. 2022 waren es 5,35 Prozent im Westen, 6,12 Prozent im Osten. Thema in den Sondierungen In den Sondierungsgesprächen von Union und SPD müsse auch die Rente besprochen werden, sagte Heil, der Teil des Sondierungsteams der SPD ist. „Ich habe dem CDU-Wahlprogramm entnommen, dass es ein gemeinsames Anliegen ist, Menschen nach einem Leben voller Arbeit im Alter ordentlich abzusichern.“ Die SPD fordert, das Rentenniveau bei 48 Prozent gesetzlich festzuschreiben. Das könnte mittelfristig auf eine Erhöhung des Rentenbeitrags hinauslaufen. Die Union tritt hingegen dafür ein, die Sozialbeiträge insgesamt nicht weiter steigen zu lassen. Sie liegen derzeit für Rente, Kranken-, Pflege und Arbeitslosenversicherung bei rund 42 Prozent. Die Union will sie wieder in Richtung 40 Prozent bringen.
